Please read before participating
Exercise and physical activity involve an inherent risk of discomfort, strain and injury. Although Perki Fitness takes reasonable care when planning and delivering its sessions, no physical activity can be guaranteed to be entirely risk-free.
Participation is voluntary. Each participant remains responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for them and for working within their own abilities.
Medical advice
Perki Fitness provides fitness and exercise instruction. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, physiotherapy or personalised medical advice.
You should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise programme if you:
Have an existing medical condition or injury.
Are pregnant or have recently given birth.
Have recently undergone surgery or medical treatment.
Take medication that may affect exercise.
Have been advised to restrict physical activity.
Are uncertain whether an activity is suitable for you.
Advice provided during a Perki Fitness session is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.
Information you must provide
Before participating, you must tell Perki Fitness about any health condition, injury, pregnancy, disability, mobility issue or other circumstance that may affect your ability to participate safely.
You must also notify Perki Fitness if this information changes.
Perki Fitness may modify an activity, request medical clearance or refuse participation where it reasonably considers this necessary for safety.
During a session
Follow the instructor’s safety guidance and do not continue with an activity that causes pain or feels unsafe.
Stop exercising and tell the instructor immediately if you experience concerning symptoms such as:
Chest pain.
Dizziness or faintness.
Unusual shortness of breath.
Sudden or severe pain.
Loss of balance or coordination.
Any other unexpected or worrying symptom.
Seek urgent medical assistance when necessary. In an emergency, call 999.
Children and babies
A parent or legal guardian must arrange participation for anyone under 18.
The parent or guardian is responsible for deciding whether the activity is suitable, providing relevant health information and remaining present throughout the session unless a different arrangement has been expressly agreed.
Instructions concerning the safety, handling and participation of a child or baby must be followed.
Online sessions
When participating online, you are responsible for:
Choosing a safe and suitable exercise space.
Removing obstacles and trip hazards.
Using appropriate clothing and equipment.
Ensuring children, pets and other distractions do not create a hazard.
Positioning your camera so the instructor can reasonably observe you.
Stopping immediately if an activity feels unsafe.
The instructor cannot inspect or fully assess your surroundings remotely.
Results
Fitness results vary between individuals and depend on factors including health, attendance, effort, nutrition, lifestyle and personal circumstances.
Perki Fitness does not guarantee weight loss, improved health, increased fitness or any other particular result.
Liability and legal rights
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits Perki Fitness’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in this disclaimer affects your statutory consumer rights.
